Lee Rainie, is the director of internet, science, and technology research at the Pew Research Institute. Along with Networked, Rainie has written five books on the subject of the future of the internet. Barry Wellman is a Canadian-American sociologist who works for netlab at the University of Toronto's Faculty of Information. His main focus of research is networked individualization, which is one of the main subjects of Networked. Besides Networked, Wellman has edited three other books and authored over 200 articles.
